Getting regular <strong>physical activity<\/strong> can benefit everyone \u2013 children, adolescents, and adults alike.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Gordon Gunn<\/strong> is teaming up with the President\u2019s Council on Fitness, Sports, &amp; Nutrition in honor of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. During the month of May, he challenges you to include 30 minutes of physical activity every day.<\/p>\n<p>Did you know that regular physical activity increases your chances of living a longer, healthier life? It also reduces your risk for <strong>high blood pressure<\/strong>, <strong>heart disease<\/strong>, and some types of <strong>cancer<\/strong>. Yet in California nearly 53.1% don\u2019t get enough <strong>physical activity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommend that people:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aim for 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate aerobic activity each week.
