Unfortunately, breast cancer does not discriminate; it affects people of all ages and races. In case you aren\u2019t aware of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, here is a quick breakdown of things to look out for as you give yourself self-examinations: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change in the way breast or nipple feels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Nipple tenderness, lump or thickening in or near\nyour breast or underarm area<\/li><li>Change in the texture of your skin or\nenlargement of the pores of your breasts<\/li><li>A lump in your breast (even if it\u2019s small make\nsure to see professional for a screening)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change in breast or nipple appearance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Any unexplained change in size or shape of your breast<\/li><li>Dimpling anywhere on your breast<\/li><li>Unexplained swelling of your breast<\/li><li>Unexplained shrinkage of your breast<\/li><li>Recent unexplained asymmetry of your breast (it\u2019s common for women to have one breast larger than the other)<\/li><li>Your nipple is slightly inward or inverted<\/li><li>Skin of your breast, areola, or nipple that becomes red, scaly or swollen or resemble the skin of an orange<\/li><li>Any nipple discharge<\/li><li>Particularly if you have clear discharge or bloody discharge<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to know that most times these symptoms are not due to cancer, but it\u2019s important to be seen for <a href=\"http:\/\/gordongunnmd.com\/gynecology-fullerton-medical-services.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"regular screenings (opens in a new tab)\">regular screenings<\/a>.
